Setting Roku Display to 4K makes Viewsonic M2 forget it's H Keystone, and V Keystone settings.Īfter Roku Display set to 4K, Viewsonic M2 changes Keystone settings by itself:Īfter this happens, will usually need to restart the Viewsonic M2 to be able to display anything from the Roku.

This 2nd issue worked properly with firmware v0.57, and is broken in firmware v1.00, and is the most serious issue so far. Meant as a large compliment by a fan of ROMs with a lot of optional customizations to be set by the users. V Keystone was just as fast with firmware v0.57. Looks like an equivalent and real alternative to Sense-based ROMs like LeeDrOiD and Viper10, only on AOSP.
#Nebula 150 custom firmware install
Users love to root and install these custom ROMs to get more features which were missing from the official firmware. Notice H Keystone adjustments are very fast. Android is an open source operating system so there are loads of modified ROMs or firmware commonly known as Custom ROMs are available for Android devices. V Keystone control severly lags behind remote key input.Ĭompare V Keystone adjustment speed to H Keystone. This 1st issue would just be occassionally annoying, but coupled with the 2nd issue, it becomes very annoying. So, I thought, they really must want me to upgrade, and there really must be something very wrong they need to fix, or some cool new feature to enable. I was gonna wait a few weeks to upgrade the firmware from v0.57, which worked great for me, however, eventhough I disabled auto firmware update notification, I kept getting prompted to upgrade to v1.00. Viewsonic M2 firmware v1.00 has some issues documented from my experience. I logged a case with Viewsonic Support already, and provide the details as a heads up for other users.
